Thursday 7 July: Quarter Finals & Classification
Friday 8 July: Semi Finals & Classification
Saturday 9 July: Grand Final, Play Offs & Closing Ceremony

Your Host

The 2016 Australian U16 Championships will be hosted by Kilsyth Basketball Association. Founded in 1963, Kilsyth Basketball Association is now the largest basketball association in the country with over 11,000 registered players in local competitions each week.

 

Venue

The 2016 Australian U16 Junior Championships will be held at Kilsyth Sports Centre - 115 Liverpool Road, Kilsyth VIC 3137

Kilsyth Sports Centre houses six basketball courts including their showcourt seating 1,200. The Kilsyth Sports Centre Kiosk will be open during all scheduled games and offers a great range of food and drink.

 

Opening Ceremony

The Opening Ceremony will take place on Saturday 2nd July at 9:00am on main court at the Kilsyth Sports Centre. All family, friends and spectators are invited to attend.

 

Closing Ceremony

The Closing Ceremony and all medal presentations will take place following the U16 Men's Grand Final at approximately 8:45pm on Saturday 9 July, 2016.

The Men's & Women's U16 Grand Finals will be live streamed via Basketball Australia's YouTube Channel. Stay tuned on social media for further updates.

Camera & Video Passes

With the protection and privacy of our participants in mind, anyone wanting to use a camera or take video is required to have a CAMERA/VIDEO PASS during the Championships. All cameras are required to be signed in at the front desk on arrival and agree to the Photography policy. Click here to view full policy. All video cameras are to be used the area provided in the stadiums for filming.  No flash photography is allowed and Basketball Australia requests no photography from the baseline.

 

Media & Scouting Accreditation

With the protection and privacy of our participants in mind, all media and scouts must be signed in and accredited with Basketball Australia. To apply for media or scouting accreditation please click here and complete the online form.
