Call for Australian 3X3 Basketball at World Uni Champs

3x3 Basketball will be held at the World University Championships for the first time in 2012.

This tournament will take place in Kragujevac, Serbia from 10th-17th July.
The tournament will see 32 men’s and 32 women’s teams from across the globe in attendance to compete in the inaugural World University Championships.

Basketball Australia in conjunction with Australian University Sport (AUS) are now calling for Expressions of Interest from male and female basketball athletes who would like to compete as members of the Australian 3x3 Team(s). Interested athletes should complete the form below and return it to Basketball Australia by no later than 6th April 2012.
 
The cost of attending this event is still to be confirmed by Australian University Sport, see form for further details on the player contribution.
 
Eligibility
In order to compete in the 3x3 World University Games you must meet the following criteria:
 
1) Students must be currently enrolled and proceeding towards a diploma or higher at a University or similar institute (TAFE) whose status is recognised by the Australian Government Department of Education.
2) Former students of the institutions mentioned in (1) who have completed their academic degree/diploma in the 12months preceding the event. (Must provide copy of Graduation
Certificate)
3) Students studying abroad (eg US Colleges) are eligible for selection provided they satisfy FISU regulations
4) Students must hold a full Australian passport
5) Students must be born between Jan 1st 1984 and December 31st 1994
6) Willing and able to adhere to athlete team agreement, By-Laws and Anti Doping Policy/Rules.
