Farewell Series TV schedule announced

Basketball fans who can’t make it to Victoria to see the Australian Boomers and Jayco Opals play in The Farewell Series which starts this Sunday (June 24) will still be able to watch games with the full broadcast schedule for the series released by Basketball Australia today.

The Boomers will play Greece and the Jayco Opals take on Brazil in their lead-up to London, with FOX Sports providing coverage of Game One of the men’s series and ABC to show the women’s games.

Fans can watch all the action of the Jayco Opals clashes with Brazil with every game of the Farewell Series streaming LIVE online via ABC Grandstand as well as coverage on free-to-air television on ABC1.  ABC’s coverage of the women’s series will be hosted by Stephanie Brantz.

Game One of the men’s series, which will be played at Melbourne’s Hisense Arena, will also be shown live on FOX SPORTS 2 and FOX SPORTS 2 HD with hosts Darren Boyd and Andrew Gaze.

Fans can also watch Game One of the men’s series live on-line through iiNet’s Freezone at http://freezone.iinet.net.au/channels/freezone/sport/boomers-basketball.

The Farewell Series opens this Sunday when the Jayco Opals play Brazil and the Boomers host Greece in a double-header at Hisense Arena in Melbourne.
