U16 Australian Junior Champs start in Tamworth Saturday
Follow the Under 16 Australian Junior Championships starting from Saturday!
The Under 16 Australian Junior Championships begin in Tamworth on Saturday, with teams from all over the country set to battle it out for the national title.
The tournament, which has always been a breeding ground for future Boomers and Jayco Opals, will also feature teams from New Zealand.
Action tips-off on Saturday 7 July and will run over eight days, with the finals scheduled for Saturday 14 July.
Day One action in the women’s competition includes SA Country taking on the ACT, WA Country versus New Zealand, Vic Metro playing the girls from the Northern Territory, NSW Metro up against Tasmania, Queensland North challenging Vic Country and NSW Country facing Queensland South.
In the men’s draw, on Day One it’s NSW Country versus Queensland South, New Zealand versus ACT and WA Country versus SA Metro.
Vic Metro are the defending champions in both the men’s and women’s competition.
