Australian 3X3 team advance to world champs Semis
The Australian women's 3X3 team will play Team USA in the Semi Finals of the FIBA World Championship.
The Australian women’s team has remained perfect at the FIBA 3X3 World Championships in Greece, and is set for a showdown with the undefeated Team USA in the Semi-Finals.
After starting the tournament 3-0, the Australian women swept through their remaining Pool A games with a 15–7 win over Brazil and a 13–7 victory over Estonia.
The Australian team of Alice Kunek, Katie Ebzery, Tess Madgen and Sara Blicavs then romped through their Final 16 clash with Germany, 21-4, before defeating the Czech Republic 16–11 in their Quarter Final.
The Australians now play USA in the Semi Final at 3:00AM on Monday morning Australian Eastern Standard Time.
The winner of the Semi Final will then play either Ukraine or France at 5:30AM the same day.
Australian Ebzery is also slated to participate in the Final of the Skills Challenge on Monday morning.
