CLOSING FRI: Vote Eveson and win 5 grand
Australian Roller and Paralympic Gold Medallist Justin Eveson has been nominated for one of Australia’s most prestigious sporting awards – the Sports Performer of the Year – and you can help him win it.
Presented by The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald in association with Colonial First State, an expert panel of leading sports journalists selected the nominees across five categories.
Eveson is in the ‘Performer of the Year with a Disability’ category and goes up against Ryley Batt (wheelchair rugby), Matthew Cowdrey (swimming), Kurt Fearnley (track) and Cameron Rahles-Rahbula (alpine skiing).
If you vote for Justin you will go into the draw to win $5000 from Colonial First Estate.
All awards will be decided by the Australian sporting public, with voting open until 5pm (EST) November 20, 2009.
The gala function recognising the very best Performers from the previous 12 months will be held at Star City in Sydney on Wednesday, November 25, with the winner of the Sports Performer of the Year receiving $50,000 from Colonial First State.
