Basketball Australia is please to announce the U17 Women's squad for the 2010 FIBA U17 World Championship for Women.

Australia qualified for the inaugural U17 world championship by winning the 2009 FIBA Oceania U17 Championship in Brisbane in August.

The 2010 world titles will be held in France from July 16-25, the first time the championship has been held for the U17 age group.

The squad was selected following an Australian Development Camp in September and features the twelve athletes that won the Oceania tournament, including Queenslander Gretel Tippett. Tippett is the only athlete who has experienced basketball on the world stage; she represented Australia at the 2009 FIBA U19 World Championship in Thailand in early August.
