Schools Championships begin
The 2010 Australian Schools Championships began yesterday is Bendigo Victoria, formerly known as the National Schools Basketball Tournament first began in 1983 and 27 years later it’s still one of the most popular basketball tournaments in Australia.
The Championships began with an Opening Ceremony on Sunday afternoon where the patron of the games Kristi Harrower officially declared the games open; Kristi’s participated in this Championship in 1991 where her school Bendigo College defeated Sant Maria College 95-63 to claim the national crown.
