Schools Championships begin

The 2010 Australian Schools Championships began yesterday is Bendigo Victoria, formerly known as the National Schools Basketball Tournament first began in 1983 and 27 years later it’s still one of the most popular basketball tournaments in Australia.

The Championships began with an Opening Ceremony on Sunday afternoon where the patron of the games Kristi Harrower officially declared the games open; Kristi’s participated in this Championship in 1991 where her school Bendigo College defeated Sant Maria College 95-63 to claim the national crown.

CM – Newington College 72 defeated St Patrick’s College 43 BOX SCORE

CM – Mountain Creek State High School 72 defeated Guilford Young College 42 BOX SCORE

CM – Concordia College 65 defeated Willetton Senior High 60 BOX SCORE

CM – Sydney Boys High 79 defeated Lake Ginninderra College 68 BOX SCORE
